Wat Burapharam
Inside the temple stands Luang Pho Phra Chi (also known as Luang Pho Prajee), a Buddha statue in the Maravijaya posture with a lap width of 4 sok. It is believed to have been built at the same time the temple was founded and is regarded as the sacred Buddha image of Surin, highly revered by the locals.
The temple is also known as the residence of Luang Pu Dul Atulo, a highly respected meditation master, who once served as the abbot. Today, the Luang Pu Dul Museum exhibits his likeness and personal belongings, allowing visitors to pay respect and reflect on his exemplary spiritual practice.




City Pillar Shrine
The Surin City Pillar Shrine is a sacred landmark and a spiritual center for the people of Surin. It was built to symbolize prosperity and stability for the city. Inside stands the city pillar made from chaiyapruek wood, installed according to ancient rituals, housed within an elegant Thai-inspired architectural structure.

Surin National Museum
Located on SurinChong Chom Road in Mueang Surin District, the Surin National Museum is an important learning center that showcases the history, culture, and ethnic heritage of Surin. Exhibits include natural history, archaeology, the lifestyles of the Kuy, Khmer, and Lao ethnic groups, local arts and culture, elephant husbandry, and traditional handicrafts.
The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with free admission. It is an ideal place for those who wish to experience the charm of Surin through stories of local wisdom in a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere.




Huai Saneng Reservoir
Huai Saneng Dam, also known as the Sea of Surin, is a popular recreational spot for locals. With its vast, sea-like waters in the heart of the city, its perfect for evening relaxation, swimming, picnics, or enjoying a romantic sunset.
The dam features a long paved road ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling while taking in the scenic views. It is also home to the Phra Tamnak Somdej Phra Srinagarindra Boromaratchachonnani, which is open to visitors on select occasions. Surrounding the area are restaurants, shops, and camping or small cottage facilities for those who want to experience the nighttime ambiance close to the breeze and water.
